Graham was a suave and sophisticated but very streetwise film & TV director from New York who had worked on some of the best known shows to come out of the U.S. during the 60's. From 'Naked City' and 'The Fugitive' to 'The F.B.I.' and 'Batman'... Hell, he'd even made a movie with Elvis bloody Presley! And now Lew Grade was schmoozing him to do some show for ITC and had brought him over to London where Molto met him at a cocktail party... "You know I'm a BIG fan of your work" Molto gushed (not averse to a spot of schmoozing himself)..."I love the way you convey a story line and your sense of drama." "Gee thanks" he replied, " and you are?" Molto reeled out a quick résumé of his work to which Graham reacted positively. "Oh yeah, I know your work... you're very good" he said, raising the index finger of his right hand in which he cupped a large brandy glass. "You should do the score for a TV movie I'm about to shoot" he continued, now wagging said finger and threatening to spill the brandy sloshing dangerously close to the rim of his glass. "I'd be honoured" Molto responded, pulling out two cigars from his breast pocket to clinch the deal... "So tell me Bill... is there any chance you could fix me up with a ride in the Batmobile???"
