Kerala Govt bans classes during summer vacation, warns schools of strict action.

The Kerala Government directed educational officers to check the complaints being filed against schools violating the state’s order to stop classes during summer vacation. “All government, aided and unaided schools at the primary, secondary, higher secondary, vocational higher secondary levels should not conduct any classes during the summer vacations,” a circular dated April 28, 2017 read. “Yet, we have received many complaints claiming that schools are violating this circular released by the general education department,” the state government noted. “In this context, educational officers should ensure that the circular cited above is followed and if there is any violation of the said circular the responsible officers are to take strict action,” it said. As per the report, the education department of Kerala government had asked all government aided and unaided schools at the primary, secondary, higher secondary, vocational higher secondary levels schools to stop conducting classes during the summer vacation.
