Channel 4 News can reveal that the Metropolitan Police spent over one million pounds pursuing a criminal investigation against Jennifer Izekor, the former commissioner of the police watchdog, then called the Independent Police Complaints Commission. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe) In her first television interview, Ms Izekor, who was cleared of all charges, says that the investigation was a monumental waste of taxpayers money and was fuelled by racism on the Met’s part.
