The Perjalanan Salib has officially begun in the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu, marking a historic and grace-filled moment for our local Church. This sacred journey invites all of us to walk together in unity, faith, and hope embracing the cross as the sign of God’s everlasting love and salvation. The sending-off ceremony was led by a delegation from the Catholic Archdiocesan Centre, Kota Kinabalu. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Rhobby Mojolu, together with several priests and religious sisters, the event reflected the unity and commitment of our archdiocese. Their presence is a reminder that the journey of the cross is not only symbolic but also a living testimony of the Church’s mission to listen, celebrate, and journey as one. The first stop of the Perjalanan Salib is at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Labuan—the only parish in the Archdiocese located apart from the mainland of Sabah. With its rich history and vibrant faith community, Blessed Sacrament Parish stands as a meaningful starting point, showing that the love of Christ and the mission of the Church extend beyond boundaries, uniting every faithful across seas and lands. As the Perjalanan Salib continues its journey throughout the archdiocese, may it inspire us to deepen our faith, grow in communion, and renew our mission as one family of God.
