Oranjezicht City Farm Market must be the whitest market in Africa. Most of the employees are Black but most of the customers are white and no just whites but affluent ones too. No sign of a white genocide anywhere! It is also probably the best food market I have ever been to in my life! Imagine a market with not one, not two, not three but FOUR amazing bakeries. Jesus, I was in heaven. I think I gained like 3-4 kilos in one hour there. Neighbourgoods market at the Old Biscuit Mill is more diverse and just as delicious and interesting. I was also extremely impressed with Cape Town's food halls as you can see in the vlog. We went to Mojo Market twice for dinner and Time Out Market once, both excellent. Overall, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the food in Cape Town! We didn't have a bad meal anywhere. No one talks about South Africa as one of the world's great food countries but it truly is. I cannot think of another country on this planet where I ate as well as in South Africa! Join us on an unforgettable culinary journey through some of Cape Town’s most vibrant markets and food halls, including what might just be the whitest market in Africa – complete with DJs, cardamom buns, organic decaf coffee, and more. Later, at the Neighbourgoods Market at the Old Biscut Mill there will even be zebra steaks and fried worms. 😳 In this travel vlog, we: 🍩 Taste our way through The Old Biscuit Mill/Neighbourgoods Market & Oranjezicht Market, plus Mojo Market and Time Out Market food halls 🐊 Sample crocodile and zebra meat (spoiler: one tastes like salmon!) 🥖 Explore artisan bakeries with fresh focaccia, cardamom buns & croissants ☕ Discover Cape Town’s best coffee spots (including organic decaf!) 🐛 Learn about Botswana’s traditional worm delicacy 🧴 Try “Millionaire Man” cologne – the scent of success? 👶 Chill in kids' zones, browse stylish local fashion, and vibe with live DJs 🌮 Eat EVERYTHING – falafel, bao buns, samosas, churros, and more This is not your typical African market tour.
