EDIT: I got a A+ on the assignment!! yahoo!!!!!! A video talking about a particular fandom that overtook the con floor in droves, to the dismay of many. In this I talk about why I believe they could be considered their own subculture within the greater convention scene! This was a video for my Media Subcultures class, alongside an essay and a presentation I gave! This video only had to be like 5 minutes long but I have alot I yap about here since I find Homestuck Fandom lore fascinating to me. There were still things I feel like I could have added (say the fandom slang like "Jegus" and "Gog" and such as that is a characteristic of a subculture) but IM TIRED OF GOING BACK AND ADDING THINGS SO! Im done! Sorry for any weird audio quality changes, not used to making videos like this, dont have a great mic setup, etc. As part of my research I put out google forms for fans and non fans to take and give me give their thoughts and stories. Sadly did not end up using as much as I thought but it did fulfill my deep dark desire... that of hearing fandom stories.... Also thanks to my friend Marci and my boyfriend for helping out in the little skit segment near the beginning haha. Have any interesting stories yourself? Put them in the comments I'd love to read.
