At the beginning the ship is slow and only equipped with a standard cannon. If you shoot enemies, some of them will leave behind a yellow star. If you collect the stars, you can exchange them for extras for the spaceship. But you need several stars for various extras. You can't use all the extras together either. The following extras are available: Speed ​​(more speed), Side (shots also to the side), Wing (ship becomes larger and gets more firepower), Bomb (bomb), Laser (shot forward with greater range), Missiles (missiles that automatically follow an opponent), Shield (temporary invulnerability). The more power ups you collect the more semi-invincible you become, making the game a lot easier. Extra ships are available at 50,000 points and at every additional 70,000 points. The musical background consists of a total of five three-part melodies. One of the pieces of music is played during the intro, and all the melodies play one after the other during the game. The accompanying melody to Phase 4 is particularly interesting from a technical point of view: Here all three voices mostly play notes of the same length, with the beginning of the individual bars in these voices being offset from one another by a third of a note length. This creates a sound that is vaguely reminiscent of the ringing of bells. A similar technique can be found in the accompanying melody of the game " Burnin' Rubber " (although only two voices are used, which are offset in time by half a note length) and in one of the piano pieces in the game " Little Computer People ". If both music and sound effects are played during the game, the middle voice of all pieces of music is omitted in favor of the sound effects.
