In proud partnership with Surat Municipal Corporation, Biofics has established India’s most advanced Bio-CNG plant based on Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). Our CEO & Co-founder, Sunil Mahapatra, shares insights into this landmark collaboration and the technologies driving it forward. Here’s what happens every day: ▪ 120 tons of organic waste collected from 60,000+ households , 300+ hotels and other BWG's ▪ 5,000 kg of Bio-CNG produced daily—powering 500+ CNG vehicles ▪ 20 tons of organic slurry converted into high-quality fertilizer ▪ Smartly integrated zones: waste segregation, anaerobic digesters, gas balloon storage, compression & bottling units With R&D in focus and development of new technologies. This plant is equipped with our patented technologies: Tri-Biomak slurry enrichment – Generates crop-specific, soil-enriching bacteria, creating market-ready biofertilizers tailored for agricultural needs. Integrated VPSA Biogas Purification – Ensures efficient, high-purity Bio-CNG production upto 97% of pure Methane. This plant is a crucial milestone in Biofics mission to establish 100 Bio-CBG plants till 2027, supporting India's SATAT initiative and the national goal of 5,000 Bio-CNG plants.
