The second runway is generally used for international takeoffs. However, the distance between the two runways is only 210 meters, so they cannot take off and land at the same time. This distance was chosen because a large-scale expansion of the land would be required to create a wider distance. As a result, the number of takeoffs and landings (processing capacity) that can be stably operated on the runway will only increase by about 6.8% from the current 176,000 per year (38 per hour) to 188,000 per year (40 per hour).
