In our latest project we're restoring the understory ecosystems of three woodlands in Scotland. While we've planted hundreds of thousands of trees in multiple countries, trees are just one part of the rich and complex ecosystems you'll find in forests and woodlands. While our £14,000 budget for this isn't huge, we hope to use these projects to learn more about understory restoration and use that knowledge to scale up efforts elsewhere, including in our own forests.
