Pensions UK’s Annual Conference - the largest pensions industry event in the UK - returned to Manchester in 2025 under the theme '2030 Ready', welcoming over 1,500 delegates for three days of forward-thinking discussion about the future of the pensions sector. This year marked the launch of Pensions UK: Future Leaders, a new initiative created in partnership with ‪@ManMetUni‬ , Marketing Manchester, and ‪@mcrcentralchannel‬ . The programme introduced university students to careers in pensions, aiming to inspire fresh talent, diversity, and innovation within the industry. Over 40 final-year finance and accountancy students took part in dedicated sessions with leading organisations including Aviva, BlackRock, Invesco, and the Greater Manchester Pensions Fund - gaining first-hand insights, networking opportunities, and real-world experience. The initiative reflects Pensions UK’s growing commitment to social impact and legacy, supporting the local community while helping to build pathways into high-quality jobs in the sector. It also supports Marketing Manchester’s wider mission to ensure events in the city create lasting positive change for people, places, and the planet.
