HOW TO: SET UP FOR LEFT AND RIGHT STENT PLACEMENT CYSTO. I did a case today: Left Colectomy possible open with right and left stent placement. I am not going to sugar coat it but I did not enjoy learning about cysto instruments. It looks easy don't get me wrong but cysto cases are just wet and gross. Lol, fluids everywhere. There are a few names you would need to remember about cysto but don't stress yourself out because you can always lay everything out and let the surgeon figure it out since they have been doing this for many years. I do suggest that you pay attention on how they set it up because then you can use that information, write it down, and when you scrub with this surgeon again, you would know how to set it up specifically for him.
