In a 2 part series video I talked about my experiences with a guest that booked my car for one day and kept my car for two more days without extending. He gave excuses after excuses of why he couldn't return the car and never extended my car. What can you do in this situation? 1. Still maintain good communications but be firm with the guest. 2. Report late return when you are allowed to on Turo and that is after 30 mins of trip end time. 3. Escalate to Turo's Trust and Safety department after 24 hours of not returning your car and failed to extend. 4. Call 911 to report a stolen vehicle and tell this to the guest so they can return your car or have a way for you to retrieve the car. Fees you can charge the guest in situations like this; 1. Any transportation fees that you need to take to retrieve the car if the guests aren't returning your car to the correct location. 2. Improper return fees if not returning it to the correct location and/or didn't follow your return instructions. 3. Late fee $20 4. One day rental rate ( you can only get one day rental rate even if they took more days of your car.) 5. Any other properly documented damages, smoking fees, and/or lost keys.
