Northumberland Art Catalogue

Hi Kenton Duffield here , my new art catalogue has just arrived We'll have a little look through this. Let's put this down on the table and have a look through and you can see what I've been up to this winter over the past few months I've been out and about capturing the stunning landscapes of the Northumberland coastline and countryside. It's been incredible season, both for studio work and for plain air pieces. Some of these paintings started as quick sketches while I was out walking or just trying to capture a moment in time. Sometimes I'll just take my sketch book out and jot things down and other times I' work purely from memory, but there's nothing quite like painting outdoors standing in the middle of the countryside or along the coastline and just being immersed in the environment. There's a special connection you get when you paint on location, it's raw, it's authentic and it forces you to really pay attention to the details and atmosphere around you. And of course, I'm lucky to have Northumberland as my backdrop, whether it's the open beaches, the rugged hills, or the soft sweeping countryside . So I've put all of this work into one catalogue, which will showcase the breadth of the winter 24, 25 season, and this catalogue is culmination of everything I've done both in the studio and out on location. It's been a season of experimentation, pushing my practice and just letting the paint do what it wants. Some pieces are more reflective, some are bold and expressive. Each one has a story to tell. I'll be bringing this catalogue to the moreoth gallheery on the 25th and 26th of April and to the upcoming arts and crafts markets in summer, which will be held in the Morpoth marketplace.
