Join VIA Global Community Fellowship Alumni Anny Lin, Brianna Avila (2024-2025), and Lulu Zhou (2019-2020) as they discuss their experiences applying for and participating in international Fellowships. The goals of the roundtable are to: 1) Cultivate a conversation around first-gen and/or low-income folks’ experiences prior to applying to international fellowships, during the application stage (asking for recommendation letters, completing application essays, interviewing, etc), and while abroad during the fellowship. 2) Provide knowledge about different international fellowship opportunities. 3) Empower first-gen and/or low-income students and early career professionals to see international fellowships as opportunities that are possible for them. If you identify as a first-gen or low-income student and you’ve wondered if an international fellowship program like VIA, Peace Corps, Princeton in Asia, Fulbright, etc, would be a good fit for your career and life goals, this is a great opportunity to speak with folks who have been in your position.
