Today I will be taking you on a tour of San Cristobal de las Casas, which is one of Mexico’s best Pueblo Mágicos. San Cristobal de las Casas is an incredible colonial town located in Chiapas, Mexico, and is full of colorful streets, colonial style architecture, incredible local markets, and a unique culture. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this Mexico Travel Vlog as I show you what to in San Cristobal de las Casas (Que hacer en San Cristobal). Chiapas, Mexico is known to have the best coffee in the country, and the state of Chiapas is the largest producer of coffee in all of Mexico. So, to start off the day in the most popular travel destination in Chiapas, San Cristobal de las Casas, we had to get a delicious cup of coffee. After enjoying our local Chiapas coffee, we walked along the main pedestrian street here in San Cristobal, Mexico called Real de Guadalupe (Calle Real de Guadalupe). Calle Real de Guadalupe is an extremely colorful street lined with tons of cafes, restaurants, and shops. At the end of the pedestrian street is the famous Church of Guadalupe (Church de Guadalupe), which is one of many beautiful churches in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico. After climbing the stairs to the top of the Church of Guadalupe you will be greeted with beautiful views of farmland and San Cristobal, so it’s definitely worth the hike up to the top! Next, we explored both the Artisanal and Main market here in San Cristobal de las Casas. San Cristobal de las Casas has one of the largest indigenous Mayan populations in all of Mexico so the Artisanal Market (Mercado de Artesanias) here in San Cristobal is extremely special with a lot of local Mayan influence. Next to the Artisanal Market is the main market (Mercado Municipal), which is a huge, bustling market home to absolutely anything you could ever need. Later on in the day, it was time for another local cup of coffee so we walked over to Libre Cafe, which is a Tostador here in San Cristobal de las Casas, meaning they toast their own coffee beans inside the cafe. We got to watch the whole coffee making experience and saw just how meticulous it really is! After another amazing cup of Chiapas coffee, we walked to Barrio del Cerrillo, which is a neighborhood in San Cristobal full of tons of street art and murals. To end the night in San Cristobal de las Casas, we went to El Meson del Taco for some authentic al pastor tacos, which were absolutely delicious! I hope that after watching this San Cristobal de las Casas Travel Vlog, you can now understand why everyone loves this beautiful city. If you travel to Mexico, I would definitely add San Cristobal to your itinerary! 0:00 Intro 0:41 Chiapas Coffee 1:27 Main Pedestrian Street and Church 3:22 Local City Markets 6:16 Specialty Coffee Making 7:38 Art District 8:50 Taco Dinner ____________________ Thanks for watching and please hit the LIKE button, SUBSCRIBE if you have not already, and hit the bell to get notified when I upload future videos. ____________________ If you are new to my channel, Welcome!
