NRI - No Regular Items. ie, no accessing the or Quick Pockets commands inside or outside battle. Also, no Auto Phoenix/Med/Potion armor abilities. Use command and Mix ovedrive are allowed. NS - No Summons. You can't summon except when forced to. (Exceptions: Forced Garuda battle in Besaid, forced fights against Isaaru.) NDG - No Dropped Gear (from bosses). NTNGNFB - No Threaten, No Gravity attacks, No "Full Break" Skill. NNE - No [No Encounters] auto-ability. NTQ - No Trio of 9999/Quartet of 9 Mixes. Alongside with those restrictions, I will also do a progression lock where you will not be allowed to do postgame stuffs (Cavern of the Stolen Fayth and beyond) before beating BFA & Yu Yevon. This is to ensure BFA is at its intended difficulties. In general, Evrae's attack are not that dangerous, Stone Gaze will never kill you because it only deals proportional damage, Delay Buster and its counterattack can be mitigated with Dark Buster. Using Darkstrike + Buster trick, the duration of Darkness are increased to 3 instead of 1. The one attack that could posed us some trouble is Frying Photons, it could be mitigated with Magic Break, but the statuses are the real problem. Only Kimahri can cure the statuses with Esuna, and if he gets Silenced, then you're kinda stuck and unnessecarily prolong the fight, wasting more MP in the process. Remember, there's still the Bevelle fight right after Evrae. With NRI you could use Al Bhed Potions to heal and cure the statuses, but I want to save them if possible as it's very expensive in the shop later on. That means this fight features quite a lot of customization, I had Silenceproof on Kimahri, Lulu and Tidus, Darkproof on Wakka & Auron. I also customized Lulu with MP+30%, as she's the main damage dealer in this fight and the Bevelle fight after. It was actually pretty fun fighting Evrae with these restrictions, normally Evrae is a little bit abusable in this mod, with Slow+Threathen you can skip the White Wind and Frying Photons. NRI or NI means that you want to make sure Kimahri doesn't get petrified ever, No Dropped Gear means that you can't use the Slowproof armor from Chocobo Eater to mitigate Slowga. Having only one character with Slowproof is actually pretty significant difference because of its delay, sometimes Rikku or Tidus might not have a turn before Cid if you're not careful. For the Bevelle fight, it's not that bad if you have the right preparations. Kimahri and Wakka could blind the Rifler, the Flamethrower guy could be killed with Watera (and Magic+10%) + Auron's Waterstrike, the YKT could be simply blinded and it's no longer a threat. When facing 2x Flamethrower monks, you need to tank its attack at least a couple of times, which could be mitigated by either Darkproof, Fire Ward, or NulBlaze from Kimahri. The YAT could be killed before it gets a turn by casting Slow at the start, use 3x Bomb Fragment / Fish Scale with Rikku, and Lulu's Watera should be enough to kill it. I also tried to customize HP Stroll here to save MP on healing, you could technically run around before engaging the fight to heal. It only costs 2 Hi-Potions and I can't use it anyway for this challenge, so not a big of a deal. But honestly I don't think this is necessary if Kimahri's still got a healthy amount of MP, he can Lancet the Warrior Monks anyway.
