Easy Homemade Ground Stake Mount - Antenna Mounting Solution for Ham Radio / CB Radio

Welcome to the world of homemade ideas and engineering! Have you ever wanted to build your own ground stake antenna mounting solution? Here it is! This is an example of how, with no or little tools, even you can build a ground stake mount which you can use with the band of your choice. This ground stake can be used with nearly any 3/8 male antenna, like a MFJ-1979, hamsticks, a 102" radio shack antenna, or whatever. This has not been tested with a coil, but I see no reason this wouldn't' hold a coil. (Note this is for a box of 50, my Ace Hardware store sells them for .75 each each) 4. https://www.acehardware.com/departmen... (My ace sells these for about .33 cents each, individually) 5. https://www.acehardware.com/departmen... (my Ace also sells these individually) The total cost of this build, minus the radial wires is less than $20.00. I have found strength in the four spike / screw system. However, I do have doubts that I am getting a good ground Groundplane with 3inch screws (I like radials anyway) With that: If you want to go more than a few inches in the ground, experiment. Walk around home depot and find something that will work for you. Drill holes for four tent spikes, etc etc. The main takeaway is to SEPARATE THE ANTENNA FROM THE GROUND/RADIAL side. Have a nice day.
