This isn’t your crappy deli iced coffee, this is cold brewed coffee and it’s SUPER easy to make at home. One of our favorite ways is to brew it in a French press! When you introduce room temperature water to your coffee, you’re going to extract all the sweet and vibrant flavors of that roast. You can make cold brew ith any of our roasts, the Aztec is a house favorite here or if you’re looking for something fruity and rich, check out the Deep Water blend! Slowly steeping the grinds in the water is going to leave us with a creamy, silky smooth cold brew. So let’s get into it! We’re going to be using a 6:1 water to grind ratio for this brew. Coarsely grind your coffee, should look like panko bread crumbs. We’ll be using 150 grams of freshly ground coffee and 900 grams of water. We recommend steeping the coffee for about 12-16 hours or no longer than 24 hours before straining out the coffee grinds. Over steeping will make the brew bitter. Now it’s up to you at this point how you want to drink it, if you’re mixing with milk and syrups you can leave this brew as is for a bold cup or you can cut water back into it if you prefer to enjoy it black. It’s really a personal preference you’ll have to play around with and find what works best to your liking Cold Brew is one of the easiest ways to enjoy your freshly roasted Kings Coast Coffee and you’ll be able to make an incredible coffee experience at home!
