Great Western Black ! Pitchford Hall & Double Hawksworths - The SVR Autumn Gala 21

A few highlights from the Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam gala featuring the two main visitors In the form of Great Western Hall Class 4953 Pitchford Hall and the GW mainline Hawksworth Tank Engine 9466. The video is a short one due to personal lack of interest in the event and also because the homefleet took up most of the morning timetable so we had to wait until lunchtime for any glimpses of the visiting engines. There was also no local trains in the timetable and the failure of 813 also scuppered our potential plans. With optimism low we opted for a pub lunch and a stroll along the river while listening to sound of Great Western steam echoing through the Severn Valley. This took up enough time while we waited for the main highlights in the evening and this would be Pitchford Hall on the GWR coaching set and the double headed Hawksworth Tank engines which put on fine display and sounded glorious up Eardington Bank.
