In this video, we discuss a class 10 CBSE Linear equation problem on speed, distance and time. The question goes like this: Places A and B are 160 km apart on a highway. One car starts from A and another from B at the same time. If the cars travel in the same direction at different speeds, they meet in 4 hours. If they travel towards each other, they meet in 1 hour 36 minutes. What are the speeds of the two cars ? We solve by forming an equation from the distances travelled by each car when they are travelling in the same direction. And we form another equation from the distances travelled towards each other. Using this, we solve by elimination method and substitution method.
