Let's take a look at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center #ChihuahuanDesertNatureCenter #HikingTexas #TexasDesert Following the amazing climb to Guadalupe Peak we leave for Fort Davis to visit the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center and Botanical Gardens. If you are a fan of hiking, nature, being outdoors, or if you need an escape from the city life, Check this video out! Located 4 miles South East from Fort Davis @ Highway 118, the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Gardens is comprised of 507 acres of semi-desert grasslands and igneous rock outcrops. There are around 5 miles of hiking trails ranging from more strenuous (Modesta Canyon Trail 1.75 mi loop) to moderate (Clayton's Overlook Trail 1.5 mi loop). In the video we covered the Outside Loop which is a 2.5 mile loop that includes Modesta Canyon, Lion's Head Hill, a spectacular view of a rhyolite quarry and Clayton's Overlook.
