Sunday August 26 2012 at 11.51. No train appeared so I reversed back to where I had been parked. At 12.04 the 10.34 Derby to Bristol (12.51) and the 10.45 Cardiff to Nottingham (14.00) trains came. Its not very impressive when barriers are lowered wrongly. One has to wonder if the operator meant to lower the barrier somewhere else instead. The angle of the CCTV cameras suggest that I couldn't be seen waiting at the crossing which is 3/4 of a mile north of Swindon Village level crossing. A youth team was playing football some way away but, fortunately for younger viewers, their language which may not have been entirely appropriate for a Sunday, cannot be deciphered.
