The night they joined, a friendly game of Jackbox brought about the creation of a little creature by the affectionate name of el horso. The prompt given was “donkey drinking horchata” and the drawing they were shown was so charming that the new masher was instantly enamored with the little beast. As an attempt to please their new friends, they chose to name the drawing el horso after the Weezer classic “El Scorcho”. At the time, this was met with uproarious laughter, but over the passing months el horso became more than just a meme that will never die. He became a symbol of friendship, a horsonification of several bonding experiences. On a whim, four of el horso’s strongest supporters came together with one mission: create a really stupid low-effort mashup project to truly embody what el horso is all about, and to also annoy the fuck out of Shan. What resulted from that project is here today, a really stupid but not all that low on effort mashup EP (el horso project) that will certainly annoy the fuck out of Shan but (we hope) may just be the thing that immortalizes the pure, wholesome nature of this dumb little horse drinking a dumb little glowing horchata that looks like Baja Blast. This project is a gift from the hearts of everyone on the Council of Horso to Shan, the Mashpit, and to all of you. We hope you enjoy.
