It’s been over 140 years since the rediscovery of a miners camp, nestled up on a ridge above a remote river of Tasmania. After finding an old prospectors trail over 12months ago accessing this river was much easier, but little did I know that each time I went prospecting for gold I was passing by this old miners camp in the hills. When my mate Rob Parsons came across an old geological map of the area we soon discovered that this track leads up onto a ridge where the miners rested all those years ago. With this old map we quickly grabbed our detectors and supplies and headed out on an epic adventure to discover long lost relics and gold.
