Maj je bio mjesec velikih promjena, kako u plasteniku i na njivi, tako i u prirodi. Sadnice povrća su nam se ljepo razvile i sve smo ih polako presadili na njivu. Temperature su već ljetne, vrijeme je sušno sa malo kiše. U našem i okolnim selima ne postoji vodovod. Svaka kuća ima gusternu koja se po potrebi dopunjuje. Mi imamo tu sreću da možemo crpiti vodu iz bušotine našeg rođaka, koji je našao vodu na 200 m dubine. Bez ove vode, ne bi mogli ni pomišljati baviti se poljoprivredom. Pravio se sok od zove, koja je kratko u cvatu. Rodile su murve i trešnje i u njima smo uživali ovih mjesec dana. Meni je tako dragocjeno moći ubrati voćku i odmah je pojesti. Trnovita drača i mirisni kantarion su takođe procvjetali. Zajedno sa pozlaćenom travom, cjeli kraj se dobio zlatnu, suncem okupanu boju. Kantarion sam po prvi put sušila, nešto smo iskoristili za pravljenje tinkture sa rakijom, macerata sa bademovim uljem a nešto sam ostavila i za čaj. Lavanda, po kojoj je naše selo posebno i smilje su polaco krenuli da cvjetaju. We are lucky enough to be able to draw water from the well of our relative, who found water at a depth of 200 m. Without this water, we could not even think of doing farming. We made elderflower juice, which is in bloom for a short time. Mulberries and cherries bore fruit and we have been enjoying them for the past month. It is so precious to me to be able to pick a fruit and eat it right away, straight from the tree. Jerusalem thorn and fragrant St. John's wort also flourished. Along with the gilded grass, the whole area took on a golden, sun-drenched color. I dried St. John's wort for the first time, we used some to make tincture with brandy, macerate with almond oil, and some was stored for tea.
