Story of a paralyzed leopard.

A call got from villagers of eklahare district Nashik that a leopard was sitting in bushesh not having that much movement. A rescue team was get ready for rescue of leopard by forest department also the team of echo eco foundation. As leopard was very lethargic was and unable to stand. So with the help of snares the leopard was rescued and transfer into the cage and brought to the nursery of forest department. Immediately after rescue the treatment was started. The temperature was slightly elevated than normal. After basic treatment was done and blood sample taken for further investigation. After blood sample examination there is low HB and platelets. Radiographic examination was also done on second day. Xray revealed no any abnormalities. After blood smear examination we found case of ehrlichia canis. Accordingly given her inj, doxycyclin 100 mg for 5 days intravenously along with the immunity booster and also given syrup to increase HB and Platelets.
