Malmö central railway station, Sweden - walkthrough and surroundings

The film shows a few trains, Pågatåg (commuter train type X61), a few Øresundståg (type X31), "Snälltåget", X2000 and SJ3000 at Malmö central station in Sweden. Also shown is the station itself and its surroundings, and glimpses of Malmö. The Malmö-Lund railway was inaugurated in 1856. Two years later, Malmö Central Station was completed. In 1866, the station was destroyed by a blazing fire. The reconstructed station was inaugurated in 1872. More railways were built and therefore the station needed to be expanded with four new tracks, which became completed in 1891. The current railway station was completed in 1924. In 1926 the station was named Malmö central. The City Tunnel opened 12/12 2010, with two new underground platforms opened (with four new track). Then the number of tracks in the railway hall was reduced (the old Pågatåg train station was closed). The film was recorded in the end of December 2019. #Sweden #railway #train #station
