EP DESK, PASIGHAT, 19 DECEMBER: On 19th of December,2024, last, Saint Francis De Sales School, Pasighat Completed its 25th year of excellence and commenced its Silver Jubilee celebration, at SFS Pasighat. In the presence of Dr. Yater Ringu Darang on behalf of Tapi Darang MLA 38th Pasighat East Assembly Constituency, as a Chief Guest and Tayi Taggu Deputy Commissioner East Siang District as Guest of Honor along with other special invitees, attended the celebration. The programme started with welcome address by Fr. Biju Paul, Principal SFS School, Pasighat and was followed by cultural events including traditional and modern dance , group song and more. While the programme, Chief Guest Dr. Yater Ringu expressed her gratitude for being invited and praised the school for its contribution to society. She also emphasised the importance of unity in diversity, saying "unity is strength." Wherein, Tanying Tabong, one of the oldest members of the School Management Committee, shared the insights and school's history. He revealed that SFS School was first established at Lower Baskota but had to be relocated due to a flood back then at 2000. The school was then restarted near Siang Model School in a rented way. After struggling for a long time, the school finally found a permanent location at Diking, where it currently stands, beautifully built through the Lord's grace. Deputy Director of School Education, Odhuk Tabing, also congratulated the school on its 25th year of excellence and expressed his hope for the children's future and wished them an advance happy Christmas and New Year. Meanwhile, the first principal of the school, Fr. Dr. Jose also shared a message, highlighting the school's journey and quoting a Bible verse, "Philippians 4:4." During the event, the top-performing student, along with SMSC, SSLC, as well as the present teaching staff were honored with momentous awards. Additionally the jubilee school magazine was also released in the occasion.
