I was in a really dark place mentally and lost hope for a lot of big things I had planned for the year — film projects, a tour etc… I was in shock when it all happened … and if I’m honest, I lost hope, lost hope in myself…who I was …..and what I was meant to do… Even the day-to-day things like using the bathroom or taking a shower, I could no longer do without help. All at once this has been a very humbling and an enlightening experience. We often take for granted the simple things. Billie talked about how writing this song helped her get out of a really dark place, and thanks to her vulnerability, her song got me and so many through our own dark times. So shout out to Billie and Finneas for this masterpiece 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 And thank you to my family and friends who have helped me through this difficult time. I hope that this motivates and inspires any one who feels overwhelmed by the pressure this life can apply.
