In this video I will show you how to make a simple recipe for homemade Cherry Liqueur. Recipe Below: Ingredients 1 kg fresh cherries (pitted) 500 grams granulated sugar 1 liter vodka (or brandy, if preferred) 1 vanilla bean (optional) 1 cinnamon stick (optional) Instructions Prepare the Cherries: Wash and pit the cherries. If you want a stronger cherry flavor, you can leave the pits in. Combine Ingredients: Place the cherries in a large, clean glass jar or container. Add the sugar. Add the sugar, vanilla bean (split and seeds scraped out), and cinnamon stick if using. You can add the vodka before or after the infusion period. Mix and Store: Stir the mixture well to dissolve some of the sugar. Seal the jar tightly and place in a sunny location (window sill) Shake the jar every day for the first week to help the sugar dissolve. Infusion Period: Allow the mixture to infuse for at least 2 to 3 months. The longer it sits, the more flavorful it will become. Shake the jar occasionally during this period. Strain and Bottle: After the infusion period, strain the liqueur through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the solids. If desired, you can filter it again through a coffee filter for a clearer liqueur. You can then decant for drinking or store in bottles in cool dark place
