There are so many details to consider, from achieving a consistent gap along the inside of the door, to welding in a way that lets us feather the seam and make it look like a factory original. Custom fabrication is where creativity meets craftsmanship, but it demands that you think three steps ahead at all times. Every move counts when you’re adding something that never existed on the car in the first place. While Chad tackles the final fit and finish of this complicated B-pillar, Colton is prepping parts from the Volvo project. He already primed the outside of the hood last week, and now he’s getting ready to shoot primer on the inside of the hood and the trunk lid.
