In this episode, Ben Crowe, luthier at http://www.crimsonguitars.com goes through the entire process of installing a 2 axis MIDI controlling touch screen from AmpTone Lab, into a client's Godin guitar. (Please Note: Crimson Guitars no longer sells these systems.) The XY MIDIpad controller is most commonly used to control a Korg Kaoss pad by artists like Muse's Matt Bellamy, however, they can be programmed to control everything from a keyboard to a digital wah pedal. Using Amptone Labs superb kit the installation process is relatively straightforward, as long as you can use a router effectively and don't mind cutting holes in your guitar. You don't have to know very much at all about electronics, as it's all been made as fool-proof as possible.
