Since it's debut in 2006, Wii Shop Channel was the harbinger of the virtual console and helped kickstart an era that would become the ever-thriving "Nindie" scene across all future Nintendo hardware! We've used the shop for cool exclusives like Pokemon Rumble and Megaman 10 and a whole heap of shovelware that you never knew you wanted but now that you have it you still don't want it.
