Learn how to sign the American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet! This video breaks down your ABCS super simple and there are three simultaneous views for clarification. This was heavily requested, so I hope this is helpful and educational. This is the alphabet in American Sign Language (ASL), the sign language in the United States, please remember sign language is NOT universal and there are over 300 sign languages around the world. Disclaimer* there is a lot of debate about how E is signed. Many people teach E requiring your fingertips to touch your thumb. This is uncomfortable if your thumb is double-jointed, you have joint issues or have long nails. There is lots of variation, for example, you may notice my hand-shape shift to a taller position for comfort.
