I've had a Sharp PC-1251 complete with its dock, including a printer and cassette drive, for a couple of years. It was long overdue for a repair, and its time had come. The display had suffered from "Vinegar Syndrome," a regrettable condition of material degradation due to the passage of time. I attempted to repair the display using the "baking" technique, but to no avail. I finally ended up purchasing a new screen from Robert Baruch. In this video, in addition to repairing the Sharp computer, the dock and battery are restored, and several demonstration tests are performed, including connecting it to a modern laptop for program transfer.
