In my earlier tutorial, I showed you how to set up Pi-hole with Unbound on your Ugreen NAS. Many users ran into the same issue: “Port 53 already in use by dnsmasq.” We tried fixing it by disabling dnsmasq using systemctl, but for some users, even that didn’t solve the problem. In this video, I’ll show you a better and cleaner solution using Macvlan. With Macvlan, we don’t touch the host at all. You can leave dnsmasq running on the NAS exactly as it is. Instead, we give our Pi-hole + Unbound container its own IP address and its own MAC address, just like a separate machine which can also run DNS on port 53 without any conflict with the host. This entire setup is done using the Ugreen GUI only. No terminal, No SSH, No command line at all. Yaml file here https://gist.github.com/kajain99/80db...
