KC Mitchell is the production manager at Manna Church in Colorado Springs. Mitchell gives us insight as to how they incorporated the BG-Commander PTZ controller from BZBGear into their current livestream workflow --- including how to use the controller to get a more cinematic look from PTZ cameras. Mitchell says he has not previously used PTZ cameras and is not a networking pro – but he was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use of this system. In this video, he shares some great techniques that allowed his team to elevate the whole look at Manna Church with this camera/controller system. The church worships at Harrison High School, which has a 700-seat auditorium that is used throughout the week for school activities. The BG-Commander PTZ joystick controller is designed for both IP and serial PTZ cameras. It features a high-contrast LCD screen and backlit buttons to enhance the user experience in low-light conditions. A solid metal chassis is designed to stand up to years of heavy use. It controls up to seven cameras for small to medium-scale productions. The controller has up to ten quick access presets, but it can support up to 255 presets. It includes controls for white balance, focus, iris, and backlight settings. Control is provided by a LAN port or RS232, RS422, and RS485 connections. The BG-Commander supports IP VISCA, ONVIF, VISCA, PELCO-D, and PELCO-P control protocols.
