This is a work by J.S Bach based on a christmas hymn written by Martin Luther. I will be performing this work at First Presbyterian Church for a reformation sunday service soon. My Pipe Organ teacher decided it would be wise to make a final recording of my progress. I was told by Dr. Loman, my pipe organ teacher, that I was making sounds in the second movement the organ has never made before in all of its 40 years. The sound is created using a gap stop selection on the swell. The combination of the 8ft and the 2ft stops creates a fluty, chirping sound pleasing to the ear.
