GLBUG February 2026 Webinar - Best practices and lessons learned for management of highway 3D models

This presentation focuses on best practices and lessons learned for management of highway 3D models. Special emphasis is given to a case study of our pilot project in Florida which features a fully integrated 3D model and where the models are serving as the signed and sealed legal construction document. This project also served as a pilot for the use of Bentley’s iTwin Design Review with the client. The presentation will cover model organization, file federation, template creation strategies, documentation, QC of 3D models, and, ultimately, the digital delivery of the 3D models and Automated Machine Guidance files for construction. Since this project has recently moved into the Construction phase, the presentation will also include lessons learned from the bidding process and input from the CEI.
