Sharing my quick insight & advice about the Golden Temple. It wasn't set to a good start as when I am about to enter the temple, one guard approached me and asked me if I have SOCKS to enter. The guard told me that I need to wear one, and I kindly respond it with, what is't for? he replied me with, "I need it." and this time, I strongly responded him with "No, it's not true." (with a strong facial reaction) then he said "okay" and he allowed me to enter. (up to this moment, I still don't know if any other tourists had the same experience.) (after this incident) I contacted a local friend in Amritsar, India who regularly visits the temple, and he also told me that he is unsure why the guard told me to do that. and if that is enough, the moment that got in, another guard told me not to use my phone as "it is now allowed." in literally, "IN FRONT OF PEOPLE WHO WERE TAKING PHOTOS & VIDEOS." HAHA I almost decided to leave the place after all these, but I went on as it was really BEAUTIFUL. 8:31 Minor Physical Harassment 8:55 - 11:41 - Footage filmed using IPhone14 Pro Max I thought I wasn't able to film this but when I was editing this episode, "THE GUY" from 14:02 started to follow me around too! He was getting too close and starts talking a bit. I don't know what he wants but he made me so UNCOMFORTABLE! and I HAD ENOUGH that day. PLEASE NOTE 1. As per my Sikh friend, tourists are allowed to go inside the Golden Temple where they pray. 2. They provide food in this place daily, 7 days a week 24 hours 3. I would say that India is modernized and very progressive when it comes to dress codes.
