PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION! This video has been filmed on August 9th 2013 on Edelweiss flight 4 (EDW4) from Zurich to Tampa. Scheduled arrival time was 2145z (5:45pm local time). About 50 minutes prior to scheduled landing the weather looked like this: KTPA 092053Z 31006KT 10SM BKN045CB BKN300 28/22 A2999 Approximately 15 minutes before the landing, Captain Gabriel Burger informed the passengers that because of heavy thunderstorms at Tampa, it would be unsure whether we were going to land at KTPA or KPIE. Shortly after his announcement, the METAR was the following: KTPA 092153Z 26009G15KT 230V290 7SM -TSRA BKN038CB BKN090 OVC230 28/23 A2999 KTPA 092223Z 00000KT 1SM R01L/5000VP6000FT -TSRA BR SCT008 BKN021CB OVC030 23/22 A3005 The crew decided to land at St. Petersburg an refuel our A330. KPIE 092202Z 00000KT 3/4SM R18L/2600VP6000FT +TSRA BR SCT018 OVC045 24/22 A3001 We safely landed there at 2211z and vacated the runway 18L at taxiway Mike to follow Alpha, Tango and Charlie to shut down the engines and park the plane on runway 9. It took some time to refuel the aircraft and to load a new flightplan for the remaining 10 miles. After about 90 minutes we taxied back via Alpha to runway 36R when a parked businessjet was too close to the taxiway so that our widebody couldn't cross and they had to tow him away. After a flight of another 7 minutes as EDW4A we finally arrived at 0006z (8:06pm local time) at our destination Tampa on runway 1L. I would like to mention that Captain Gabriel Burger and the whole crew managed this special situation very well. I highly recommend this airline.
