Jorma Kaukonen may best be known as one of the founding members of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Jefferson Airplane or Hot Tuna but his contributions to the American Roots music world are just as noteworthy. The acoustic blues are better understood because of artists like Kaukonen, Chris Smither or John Hammond Jr among others. Jorma graced the stage at The xtended Play Sessions with another legend, bluegrass master Barry Mitterhoff who often tours with Jorma Kaukonen. These two didn't disappoint and rumbled through a fantastic set and then sat down to exchange conversation in what was a memorable night all the way around. The Fallout Shelter is an all ages 100-seat performance venue and state-of-the-art broadcast and recording studio, offering one of the most unique live music experiences in New England.
