Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is a widely accepted treatment for peritoneal neoplasms, either primary or secondary to digestive or gynecologic malignancy. Recently, the application of laparoscopy and a minimally invasive approach has been evaluated for a combination of CRS and HIPEC procedures, which has yielded promising results in selected patients.
