"Curmudgeon" is a b-side from the "Lithium" single released in 1992. The song was recorded on April 7, 1992, at the Laundry Room Studio. The studio was built by Barrett Jones in a basement of a house he shared with Dave. It was the first studio session for Nirvana after the "Nevermind" tour and all the success; they wanted some good old punk rock. A basement studio fit the idea well, the sessions went swift and smooth, Jones produced and engineered the recording. Three songs were recorded that day: "Curmudgeon", "Oh, The Guilt", "Return Of The Rat". Lyrics: I can't handle, on the mantle I'm not sad 'til I'm home 'Tis the season, I'm all reason I have seen and I've grown (all I've grown?)
