The Pest Defense hosted Nick Weiss, an AP Environmental Science teacher from Carrollton, TX. Weiss described why it was difficult for his students to see the value of learning integrated pest management until fungus gnats start bugging them in class. He covered fungus gnat biology, ideal growing conditions, how to limit their populations, and the IPM strategies his class used to successfully limit them in their classroom.
