Honoring a Friend’s Family: Our Journey to Levuka_VLOG 154

In this new vlog, we’re back with a heartfelt journey. Right after the last vlog 153 covering the village funeral, Tui and Koroi set off to Levuka for another farewell. This time, it was for Jon’s good friend, Vili Luma, whose younger brother, Kinijioji Luma, sadly passed away from cancer here in Fiji. Vili, who lives abroad, couldn’t attend, so we stepped in to support his family by livestreaming the funeral, helping connect him with the farewell from afar. Jon and Steph couldn’t be there due to a business meeting in Suva, so Tui took the lead, making this our first vlog without them. Tui and Koroi managed the livestream with respect and care, then visited Koroi’s village in Moturiki, where they spent the night. They explored Levuka’s historic heritage sites and enjoyed reconnecting with Koroi’s family, sharing kava, laughter, and good memories. This experience was a reminder of how friends become family, and it was an honor to be there for Vili and his loved ones. We hope you enjoy watching this special vlog!
