100% Gold Star Expert Vocals performance on Lucid Dreams by Franz Ferdinand, as it appears in Rock Band 2 for PlayStation 3. As is customary for my videos, the original vocals by Alex Kapranos are minimized so you can hear what I'm singing. --- This song is a tricky chipmunk. There's some very tiny pitch shifts that you can see but are hard to perform, the last phrase has a very annoying pitch drop + pitch slide, and of course there's the note-that-goes-on-forever at 0:34. Also, many of the talkies in this song are a bit flaky - you'll hear me sort of growling out the word "yeah" at the end of some of the phrases simply because singing them doesn't register them properly. I tried to accentuate the little up/down pitch changes on the long "dreams" so you can hear what you're really supposed to be doing on those parts, since it's not readily audible. Overall, not a hard song to get 100% on, but it's hard to get a 100% that you can feel really good about because it's so easy to miss those little changes in pitch all over the song.
