My guest on this special episode of my show In the Clear with Amir was Indomitus founder and CEO Andres Rosas Rayas. This interview was unique because I don’t typically do out of studio or out of USA interviews for my podcast. And to be able to record the episode on the same farm of the animals we were eating throughout the week was an amazing and rare experience. He took us to his different animal farms around Guadalajara, Mexico that he uses to source for his multiple product lines. We got a first hand look at his entire process with his chicken, wild boar, and bison. Through this process, I was able to ask Andres many tough questions about the animal slaughtering process. When I ask people in the meat industry these same questions, they typically give me answers I do not like. The answers Andres provided were satisfactory to me given what the majority of other farmers are doing with their animals. He showed us first hand that there is an entire other side to the animal product industry. A side where care and respect for the life of the animal actually comes first. Where high standards, health, honesty, and transparency comes before profits. We often hear these styles exist, but it’s so uncommon to see a company like Indomitus connecting their entire supply chain from the life of the animal to the finished, bottled, and labeled products ready for the market.
