So, The Penguin show just wrapped up, and it was incredible. The performances were fantastic, specifically Colin Farrell’s Oz Cobb (or Cobblepot) and Cristin Millioti’s Sofia Falcone, it let us really dive deep into the world of Matt Reeve’s Batman and the underground crime rings of Gotham. And it added a whole new layer of depth to this character of The Penguin that wouldn’t be possible within the runtime of a single movie. And it got me thinking: what other characters from not only Batman’s rogues but also the greater DC universe a whole could get that same treatment? A solo, prestige TV series that leans into the world and the genre, and develops these antagonists in ways that a movie wouldn’t be able to. And so here are some DC villains that deserve “The Penguin Treatment.” Timestamps: 00:00 - Intro 00:50 - Ridge 01:53 - Two-Face 04:09 - The Ventriloquist 05:49 - Poison Ivy 08:11 - My Number Two 10:37 - My Number One 13:53 - The Big Takeaway from The Penguin Music Used: "Batman: Arkham City Theme on Guitar" by Niall Stenson • Batman: Arkham City Theme on Guitar Original music by troyoboyo17Two-Face Art in Thumbnail by Patrick Brown https://www.patrickbrownart.com/shop/...
